Barbara Barnes Appointments Limited is located in the pleasant and conveniently located market town of Aylesbury. We have modern first floor offices in Kingsbury, a square just off the main market area. We use the the latest equipment and data bases to ensure we can offer a very professional service to both our clients and applicants.
We are specialists in office based appointments, having many years experience in the fields of administration, secretarial and customer service including sales.
The company was originally established as Chiltern Commercial Training to assist in the education of individuals who wanted to increase their worth in the job market through skills acquisition. These training courses were aimed at the office roles and from those beginnings Barbara Barnes Appointments grew. Although many of these courses are still used today by other training establishments under licence, we no longer offer training as a direct part of our service.
The recruitment side of the business grew rapidly and soon overtook the training and eventually the decision was taken to concentrate on the specialised area of recruitment in which we operate.
By 1999 the company was of such a size that a limited company was formed and then in September 2002 the company was bought by Edwin Gair.
As we look forward from today the business has made placements in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and London in addition to its home base of Buckinghamshire. We are expanding into more specialist recruitment areas of finance, engineering and Managerial and can offer services up to and including Board level.
We genuinely believe that we offer a different approach to recruitment. We are local, we listen to your requirements, not only in respect to the skills required but also to the personality of the company and the applicant to ensure we match the right job with the right individual. We do not swamp companies with tens of CVs, preferring to send two or three only. If we don’t have a match we say so up front. Our job is to select for the client and to make sure our applicants stay with their new employer as the new job meets their aspirations and expectations.
